Martha's Place has many programs that are aimed toward community development:
Food Pantry
Martha's Place is a Christian based non-profit community outreach center located in Western Harnett County. Martha's Place will help put an end to a crisis 72,899 individuals are enduring in south central North Carolina. The crisis is hunger.
The food pantry at Martha's Place has grown from providing food for 25 individuals, in five counties, to currently supplying provisions for over 600 individuals on a weekly bases.
Martha's Place Food Pantry is located approximately 20 miles from the nearest population center. This will make Martha's Place accessible to those who can not get to other sites due to distance.
Martha's Place is a ministry of Solid Rock United Methodist Church under the leadership of the Reverend Gil Wise, Lead Pastor. The center is overseen by one full time and two part-time volunteer staff members and numerous other volunteers from local congregations as well as the community.
As a result of the efforts put forth by volunteers, numerous clients have moved from those being served to those serving and donating to others in need.
The food pantry hours are:
Saturday- 11am - 1pm
Sunday- 2pm - 4pm
Angel Food Ministry
Angel Food partners with Martha's Place to help distribute food to those in need. For $30.00 you can receive a box of food containing both fresh and frozen items. The food items are first quality. No seconds or out-of-date items.
Fill the Bus
An annual campaign that collects school supplies for over 400 children and 15 schools in five counties.
Martha's Clothes Closet
Distributing clothes to 200 people every month.
Community Christmas Party
Each year Santa hosts a party for over 500 community children.
Community Service
Martha's Place has contracted to serve as a community service work center with both county and state agencies.
Mission 3:16
A ministry of "Sight and Sound," this youth ministry targets the sub-culture which thrives in our communities today. This "Straight In Your Face" performance challenges both youth and adults alike.

Reclaiming Our Community from poverty, drugs, and violence. Concerned citizens working together to help build strong, safe, and thriving communities.
Toys For Tots
Martha's Place is the official coordinator for Toys For Tots in Cumberland County. The primary goal for Toys For Tots is to deliver, through a shiny new toy at Christmas, a message of hope to disadvantaged youngsters that will motivate them to grow into responsible, productive, patriotic citizens and community leaders.
Celebrate Recovery
A gospel based addiction recovery course is offered one on one to area residents that are searching for answers on how to live a life after getting clean.
